Known as one of "the Grande Dames" of the Portland Ballroom scene, Linda Springstead has been a driving force in Portland ballroom since 1988, as a sport, an art form and a feel-good wellness activity. She's appeared on AM Northwest and Good Morning Portland, done radio shows on ballroom dancing, and was even photographed for the Kodak billboard in Times Square.
When the Crystal Ballroom reopened its doors to ballroom dancing in 1997, Linda became its weekly instructor, teaching hundreds of dancers on "Crystal Tuesdays" (and many Sundays) everything from West Coast Swing to Quickstep, Tango to Cha Cha, and Waltz to Salsa.
Coached by many famous names herself, Linda loves creating instant dance magic between partners who've just met. True to her eclectic spirit, she believes variety is the spice of life, and you can catch her classes in Aloha/Beaverton and NE Portland!!
With over 10 years of dance training, Rick started teaching in May of 2010 at Tatyana’s Ballroom, and students frequently note that he is a clear communicator able to use a variety of creative teaching methods to help students enjoy learning.
Patti joined the DanceWell Teacher Training program and now teaches all American style dances, including Cha Cha, Rumba, Viennese Waltz, Tango, Nightclub Two Step, Salsa, Bolero and East Coast Swing at the bronze level.
