Tim Bauer: Dance Instructor
Tim first started dancing at Oregon State University back in 2008 in social dance classes. Tim quickly developed interest in various country dances, ballroom, and swing. He eventually got into competition and also performed on several dance teams while there.
Tim enjoys teaching dance. His focus is on effective communication and being a positive influence and role model for his peers and students. He believes that learning to dance is like climbing a mountain; each single step can seem slow, but when we occasionally look back we also see wonderful progress.
In formal competition Tim competed two years in Open III Division at the United Country Western Dance Council’s Worlds Championships. There he placed first in Country Two Step, West Coast Swing, Polka and second and third overall including the other dances: Waltz, Nightclub Two Step, and Cha-Cha. Tim also competes in the various “for fun” Jack and Jill contests and is ranked in both WSDC for West Coast Swing and CTST for Country Two Step, both the primary national competition indexes for these dances.
