DanceWell's WEEKLY TUESDAYS BEGINNER PARTIES

You are welcome to meet new friends and dance a little, get a little help with your dancing from the instructors, or work problem steps out with other dancers present.  We do mixer dances and you are encouraged to mingle and have fun!  Bring your friends!  Always a friendly atmosphere for fun socializing & dancing.

  • Dance lesson  8-8:30p included

  • MUSIC:  Clear, strong beats for Beginner dancers in a variety of styles.

  • Dancing and socializing from 8:30-10pm 

  • Cover:  $5 Single OR $8 Couple

  • (21 and under):  $5 p/p

  • Lots of mixer dances

  • Welcome Singles and Couples!

  • Open to the public

  • Sometimes demos or routines

  • All ages and levels of dancers welcome!

DanceWell's FIRST SATURDAYS:  SATURDAY SOCIAL DANCE

A "DANCE" is a place just for socializing and dancing what you know, enjoying people, finger foods and a more "dressy" evening. Etiquette says to smile and continue dancing if steps "don't work", (and attend the next practica or a private lesson to find out why).  Bring your friends!  Always a friendly atmosphere with lots of people for fun socializing & dancing.

  • Beyond Beginning Dance lesson  7:30-8:30p included

  • MUSIC:  Ballroom, Latin, Swing, Nightclub in all styles. 

  • DRESSIER EVENING

  • Dancing and socializing from 8:30-11:30ishpm 

  • Cover:  $10 p/p  

  • (21 and under):  $5 p/p

  • Mixer dances & fun

  • Open to Public

  • Welcome Singles and Couples!

  • Snacks & beverages

  • Sometimes demos or routines

  • Sometimes a party theme

  • All ages and levels of dancers welcome!

DanceWell's  SECOND FRIDAYS:  'CLUB NITE WEST'

Enjoy a custom mix of rhythm and blues, contemporary pop and the smooth rock we all love to listen and dance to.  Dance mostly consists of  West Coast Swing, Nightclub Two Step, and Hustle, with some "tweener music" so you can dance multiple dance styles.  Requests welcome.  Always a friendly atmosphere with lots of people for fun socializing & dancing. 

  • Two Dance Lessons!  Beginning & Beyond Beginning 7:30-8pm

  • MUSIC:  Partner & social "danceable" R&B/Contemporary/Funk/World

  • Dancing and socializing from 8-11ish pm 

  • $10 p/p  

  • (21 and under):  $5 p/p

  • Mixer dances & fun

  • Open to Public

  • Variety CD music in all styles- East & West Coast Swing, Nightclub Two Step & Hustle--ALL THE ROCK & CONTEMPORARY MUSIC WE CAN FIND TO BALLROOM DANCE TO!

NIGHTS OUT & OFFSITE EVENTS!

Various nights out with your fellow students at different venues in the community. These fun nights are emailed to those on our STUDIO NEWS LIST, announced in class and listed on the website calendar. This is a great time to mix and enjoy what you have learned.  They're usually venues where Linda is teaching a lesson that night.

GENERAL ETIQUETTE

DanceWell Dances are as much a social event as a "Dance" .  

  • The "Two Dance Custom" is that of dancing two dances with one person, then inviting someone else to dance,  This is not required at our parties but is the general way.  

  • Clothing is dressy or casual and clean

  • Deodorant is provided for the convenience of our guests' frequent use

  • Breath mints are also provided for our guests use

  • We feel that Individuals "teaching" on the dance floor is inappropriate to a social dance when "unasked-for"

  • We feel that Intensive Individual practicing with one partner should be planned for at other times rather than at our social party -- times can be scheduled with the studio
