We dedicate the DanceWell program to excellence and to our students' full education.  "It’s not just about what you do; it’s about how you do it, the environment you do it in, & the energy behind the action."   

Both singles and couples are always welcome.

Owner/Director Linda Springstead has 20 years experience and ensures that DanceWell Ballroom includes a full dance program of all Ballroom, Latin, Swing and Nightclub dances here in the Portland area.  She has a reputation for being a great instructor for the beginning dancer and also provides a nationally based and accredited teacher training program.  All  partner dancing is presented in a high-quality and low-stress manner, with plenty of laughter and fun while students learn the skills to "spring-board" themselves to dance of all kinds – social, competitive and performance, as well as to the credentials to teach. 

Social Program:  In our group classes we teach practical social dancing and use a blend of American and International dance steps since good dancing is good dancing.  We jokingly call it "Amer-National Dancing".  From Foxtrot to Salsa, Argentine Tango to West Coast Swing, Waltz to Cha Cha; we provide a wonderful variety of dances to learn and experience!  Dance, like life, is a process.  We will guide you through each stage in a caring, fun, and supportive atmosphere.   Classes

Professional Program:  We also offer a nationally-based Professional Training Course.  Anyone can have a professional knowledge of dancing if they choose. This program is designed  for those who enjoy detail and like a very structured learning environment, or who may someday wish to teach dancing.  Professional Training

For those interested in competitive dance, DanceWell includes instructors who are well versed in both AMERICAN Rhythm & Smooth, and INTERNATIONAL Latin & Standard -- if you would like to privately learn a competition or medals routine for either style of dancing, please contact Linda for appointments or to arrange a small group. 

Linda Springstead's DanceWell Ballroom program is located in a cooperative dance studio with a 2000 square foot dance floor and a separate practice/refreshment room.  Our proven and comprehensive ballroom program is ready to serve the Social and Hobbyist dancer, as well as the professional.  Studio location
